Marc De Pape helps innovative companies who are questioning how to make good bets — and how to execute against them.
Marc parses and filters to figure out the problems companies need to solve and determine that it’s not only the most valuable — but that it’s also achievable.
Over his career, Marc has developed a specialization in innovation and new product development, with experience working in services (Connected, Rangle and ThoughtWorks) and in-house (ecobee).
Previously VP of Venture Strategy with Highline Beta, Marc led a multi-disciplinary team of designers, engineers, product managers, strategists and researchers to create confidence in spaces of uncertainty.
Marc holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computation Arts from Concordia University and a Master of Design in Digital Futures from OCADU (for which he won the Governor General’s Award). He was co-founder of Civic-Tech Toronto, a former Inter/Access board member, past sessional faculty with OCADU, and directed a Tegan and Sara video. As a sometimes artist, other times musician, and frequent hardware tinkerer, Marc is continuously exploring the spaces where people and technology meet.
"Many organizations invest a lot in innovation, but it needs to make it out there. Innovation doesn’t matter if nobody wants to buy it. Your customers need to realize the benefits, too."
